Things Not Seen Car Crash

In chapter 4 of the novel "Things Not Seen," Bobby's parents, Emily and David Phillips, experience a three-way car crash. Before the accident, Bobby was in an argument with his dad. As David went to pick up mom, they both were in a car crash. Bobby learned about the crash by watching WGN on television. The reporter announced that mom and dad were both majorly injured and were immediately attended at a hospital. Emily and David were affected mostly by the crash.
While Emily experienced a concussion and broken nose, David had an injured left arm and right wrist. Bobby had a visit by Dr. Fleming about the conditions of David and Emily. According to the doctor, mom and dad will stay at the hospital for three days-probably longer for David. A worried Bobby, led him to visit his family at the hospital after a long time of thinking.

Sumary Of Things Not Seen

The novel, "Things Not Seen," is about how Bobby Phillips wakes up invisible. After a talk with his father, Bobby is ready for everything that will soon happen to him until his life takes a turn for the worst; His mom and dad get into a car crash. On the first night alone, Bobby is frightened until he remembers what a college student once said. After that, Bobby knows that he shouldn't fear anything. When Bobby finds out that today will be perfect, he takes a walk to the library where he meets a blind girl named Alicia Van Dorn
Bobby takes her home but he told her he is invisible. After his parents' knew, they had a visit from the Department of Children and Family services telling them that Bobby needs to be seen since he missed so many days of school. Bobby's mom tells them that Bobby is in Florida with Aunt Ethel. Shortly after, Bobby becomes a fugitive because the department finds out Aunt Ethel doesn't have Bobby at the time.
Bobby and Alicia start an investigation on their own. Eventually, Bobby and Alicia figure out that the electric heating blanket caused Bobby to be invisible. From there, Bobby and Alicia are close friends.

Invisible Bobby (Chapter 1 And 2)

CHAPTER 1 After taking a hot shower, Bobby Phillips realized that he was suddenly invisible. As he entered a cold and shiny kitchen, his mom freaked out after seeing a floating robe (Bobby.) His mom constantly accuses Bobby of playing a prank but later finds out that this isn't a prank; Bobby really is invisible. After thinking of what to do, the famly agreed on not to tell anyone. As a joke,Bobby hides from them very immaturely. Since he is invisible, Bobby figures it is a good idea to walk around the house naked.
CHAPTER 2 Bobby decides to stay in his room and just play around with his invisibility: He chewed gum and watched himself swallow it, he wrote his name on his palm and saw floating numbers, and just enjoyed being invisible. Later on, Bobby gets a visit form his dad. As the smart man he is, Bobby's dad explains to Bobby what is happening. Because of that talk, Bobby learned more about invisibility, what is happening, and what should happen.

Blindness ( Alicia Van Dorn)

Blindness is the condition that people have when they receive no light to their eyes which enables them to see. This failure of eye sight leads people to experience no light and sight. Total blindness is recorded as NLP which stands for "no light perception." This disability is what Alicia Van Dorn of the novel "Things Not Seen" had to deal with. Blindness results to people having to use canes to find themselves around things. Alicia Van Dorn used a white cane for direction.
Some people believe that if one sense isn't functioning properly, their other senses are extraordinary. This is what the writers of the film "Daredevil" believed in. Daredevil is this blind man that has 1 failure but 4 prestigious senses. Although he is fictional, Daredevil uses canes to not only fight crime, but to also lead himself to places. People with this disability wears glasses unfortunately, to cover their eyes since they look so bad. People are usually blind because of accidents or poisons just like how Daredevil is blind.

Invisibility (Bobby Phillips)

Invisibility is when an object cannot be seen. When the object is invisible it is not seen which means that there is just empty air visible but really there is an object there. Bobby Phillips experienced invisibility in chapter 1 of Things Not Seen. Bobby noticed after he took a shower and was unable to see himself. Invisibility is usually fictional unless technology affected the object. Invisibility is highly unlikely to happen.
When Bobby Phillips was invisible after he slept with his new heating blanket. My opinion is the maybe the heating blanket cause Bobby to lose eye sight because of the heat that transpired form the blanket. Other ways that invisibility can take effect is by invisible cloaks. Invisible cloaks is a theme that has occurred in fiction, and is a device which is under science inquiry. These cloaks are used to make characters invisible.
